Why ‘Taking on Twenty?’
July 24, 2013: I turned 20. At the stroke of midnight, I exited my teenage years to enter a new decade. It sounds so daunting when put that way, no? Taking on Twenty is an attempt to capture my day-to-day life as I try to define this decade. Twenty-somethings are always being talked about–whether they are the highly-criticized millenials or the creators of tomorrow. Becoming a twenty-something is certainly intimidating, but I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.
More About Me:
Hailing from sun-drenched central California, I quickly became a bicoastal girl after first touching down on the concrete streets of New York City. I chose to attend Iona College in hopes of pursuing a degree in Journalism, chasing the dreams of becoming a fashion journalist that I’ve had since the September issue weighed more than I did. I am now fascinated by the many powers of the written word, and have chosen to minor in Marketing as well. I currently serve as the Features Editor of The Ionian Newspaper and the Tribune of Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority.
